The legendary Easton MonkeyLite bar just keeps improving. Easton's new EC70 adds real nanotechnology with Carbon Nanotubes (CNT) that strengthen and toughen the resin matrix. The world's best cross-country bar is now even better!
Carbon nanotubes are an array of carbon atoms arranged in a pattern of hexagons and pentagons (similar to the pattern found on soccer balls). These structures can be manufactured in tubular shapes one billionth of a meter in diameter, hence the name nanotube. Carbon Nanotubes provide 100 times greater strength than steel, at just 6 percent of steel's density.
Fits 31.8 mm stems. Limited Lifetime warranty.

Carbon Nanotube (CNT) Technology Carbon nanotubes are an array of carbon atoms arranged in a pattern of hexagons and pentagons (similar to the pattern found on soccer balls). Carbon Nanotubes provide 100 times greater strength than steel, at just 6 percent of steel's density.
Enhanced Resin System (ERS) Technology The weakest areas in a traditional carbon-fiber component are the tiny spaces between the fibers that contain only resin. To radically improve strength and toughness in these critical areas, Easton Scientists have developed an innovative Enhanced Resin System, which is a process that impregnates the resin/fiber matrix, with evenly distributed Carbon Nanotubes.
TaperWall Technology Tubes offer maximum variation in wall thickness. The result is increased strength with reduced weight. TaperWall multiplexing creates multiple reinforced wall zones — effectively gusseting tubes on the inside. The unprecedented control of Easton TaperWall technology allows each tube to be precision engineered for its specific application.
