The Lafuma X Raid 40 backpack offers incredible versatility with a removable chest pocket, and foldaway water bottle holders.
The chest pockets attach to the sternum strap and waist belt. The mesh material allows the chest unit to breathe similar to a shirt. Zippers on the two pockets give secure storage. Chest pocket can be quickly removed when not needed.
The foldaway bottle holders on the shoulder straps securely hold water bottles, but foldaway flat when not in use. External reservoir access makes changing your hydration faster. On the back panel of the backback is quick external access to the hydration sleeve.
Shoulder straps and waist belt are well padded for comfort. The waist pocket has a zippered main pocket, and a smaller mesh pocket. The waist belt adjusts from both sides so that you can center the waist pocket. The sternum strap slides up or down four inches and has an integrated safety whistle built into the sternum strap buckle.
On the right side of the backpack are two mesh pockets, one with zippered access. On the left side is a larger mesh pocket. On the rear of the backpack is very large mesh pocket with buckle to secure the contents. Also on the rear of the pack are quick-attach loops and daisy chains for trekking poles or ice axes.
The top lid has 3 pockets, one large water resistant zippered top pocket, one small zippered mesh pocket, and one under the lid zippered pocket.
Inside the pack is a removable foam bivy pad (21.5"x 9.5" x 0.45"), an additional hydration sleeve, a compression system to enable you to adjust the volume to perfectly fit the contents of your pack, and a water evacuation port.
