Finally a pocket size UTM tool that is precise, fast and easy to use!
The Map Tools Pocket Ruler will allow for very precise measurements to be made within UTM map grid squares. Each corner has a small hole to allow for placing a precision mark on the map.
(UTM is the coordinate system used in almost all adventure races to locate where a check point is on the map.)
Also includes a compass rose with a hole in center to quickly figure a bearing from a given point on the map. Printed on 30 mil plastic stock with a protective coating.
This tool can be used with the following map scales and grid sizes:
• 1:24,000 with 10 meter precision
• 1:25,000 with 10 meter precision
• 1:50,000 with 20 meter precision
