Montbell's Super Stretch™ System was born out of a desire to have a form-fitting sleeping bag that would let you move freely. A bag with a close fit for thermal efficiency, yet a loose fit for comfort. These two conflicting principles led Montbell to create their Super Stretch System for sleeping bags that fit like a glove but give you room to move.
With Montbell's patented Super Stretch System you get a closer fit which means one thing: a warmer more efficient bag. Montbell uses horizontal elastic stitching to draw the insulation closer to your body and keep heat in the bag where it belongs. This stops drafts, eliminates cold spots and improves the bag's thermal efficiency by reducing the volume of air your body needs to heat.
With the Super Stretch System, you'll experience a freedom of movement like never before. The durable, elastic stitching gently stretches with you as you move. The results is a bag that keeps you toasty warm while accomodating changes in position. Montbell has worked to create the ideal balance between close fit and exceptional expandability-now you can kick back, read a book, do your yoga or simply get a good night's sleep.
When you choose a sleeping bag, the insulation is just as important as the design. MontBell's Exceloft synthetic insulation in sleeping bags help trap warm air and retain loft. Not only is Exceloft great at keeping you warm, but the combination of 8-denier compacted polyester tubing with extra-thin, 0.7-denier polyester thread makes the insulation remarkably compressible. In addition, Exceloft absorbs very little water, making it highly resistant to saturation and extremely quick to dry.
A unique foot adjustment system with a drawstring added to the last baffle, allows for increased adjustability. Tighten the drawstring around your upper ankles to trap warm air at the foot, simulating a bootie. Stuff the entire bag into the last baffle, eliminating the need for a stuff sack. Shorter users can close the last baffle off completely, reducing the amount of air space to heat.
