The Osprey Talon 44 is one of the lightest multi-day packs available. Aluminum rail with composite side struts offer superb load control to handle loads up to 38 pounds. Great for lightweight backpacking, thru hiking, climbing and more.
Impressive refinement and number of features set the Talon apart from other packs. AirScape backpanel with mesh covered ridge molded foam and air channels allow most of the surface area of your back to breathe and is highly comfortable. Adjustable torso system gives you a custom fit. In just a few seconds you can adjust the length of the pack harness for the best possible fit.
Mesh covered perforated hip belt and shoulder straps are comfortable, supportive and promote ventilation. Zippered stretch mesh hip belt pockets and stretch energy gel pockets on the shoulder straps give you quick access to frequently needed items.
Three position sternum strap adjusts up or down to where it is most comfortable for you. Sternum strap buckle has a built in whistle for safety. Load lifter straps allows you to adjust more weight on either the shoulders or hips for increased comfort. Waist straps pulls from the top and bottom of the hip belt for increased support and comfort. Retainer buckle means there is no loose waist strap to flap around.
Top loading external bladder access makes changing your hydration faster and doesn't interfere with the gear in the main compartment. Quick-release strap secures the bladder and keeps it from sagging. Bladder sleeve is large enough for a 128 ounce bladder. A small pocket with velcro closure at the top of the hydration compartment works well for MP3 players or headlamp battery pack.
Stretch woven side and rear stuff-it pockets provide plenty of external storage. Side compression straps enable you to adjust the volume to perfectly fit the contents of your pack. Two quick-attach bungee loops enable you to strap ice axes or trekking poles the pack. Tow loop allows adventure racers to easily tow a teammate. Light clip and reflective patches increase low light visibility. Additional loops give you several options for attaching gear.
The lid has two zippered pockets (1 external and 1 under the lid) and locks down with twin buckles for quick access to the main compartment. A compression/rope carry strap under the lid increases functionality. Zippered sleeping bag access and sleeping pad straps let you carry overnight gear with ease.
