The Petzl Tibloc is an ultralight, multi-purpose ascender or rope grab. Used in combination with a light full size carabiner it makes the lightest ascender on the market.
The Tiblock is great for those who wish to travel as light as possible. Much lighter and more compact than standard ascenders, plus faster to set up than prusik knots and works well in a pulley system. It also makes a great back-up for standard ascenders.
Tibloc's should only be used with carabiners made from uniform oval or round stock. T-shaped carabiners should not be used in combination with the Tibloc.
At just 39 grams the Tibloc should be in the emergency kit of everyone who plans a vertical adventure.
Ideal for Ascending, Mountaineering, Climbing and Fixed Ropes activities.
For use on single ropes from 8 to 11 mm.
